What a creative way to save on groceries
My husband let me in on a little coupon action the other night that I thought needed to be shared. He was watching the evening news and came across a story on a company which has basically borrowed an idea from Gas Buddy which lets you put in your location and it finds the cheapest gasoline in your area. However, the company/website, Grocio lets you put in your shopping list for groceries and they can tell you if your total will be cheaper at your neighborhood Wal-Mart, Target, Homeland, etc. They also go the extra mile and have a feature that takes your list and allows you to print off coupons from your home computer to take with you to the store. You should go check out their site and sign up. Be sure to let them know I sent you and use this code (ICT2) when you sign up. The site which is live will do a product launch where you can create your lists soon. They are seeking out people in concentrated areas to launch the product. If you live in the Norman/Oklahoma City area, please sign up so we can all benefit.
First run this week
After resting the IT band for one week, I tried to really run for the first time today. The weather was perfect (60 degrees and minimal wind) so the only thing that would have kept me from trying would have been serious pain. I wouldn't call the pain that I encountered serious so I thought that I should give it a shot and enjoy the great outdoors. In fact when I woke up this morning, my hip hurt more than my knee. Throughout my run, I felt great. It was actually my good knee that gave me a few fits.
So, how far did I get? I followed the advice of my knowledgeable physical trainer and kept it to 2 miles and I think this was the perfect distance (Thanks, Sean). I am sure I could have gone farther, but I didn't want to risk another injury. I also ran at a slower pace (around 10 minutes a mile) and was completely aware of my posture the entire time.
Stay tuned though because I may be feeling the effects of this little experiment tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement this last week. I know that I may have been difficult to deal with at times.
I don't think that there is anything more depressing now than missing a day of running or at least some serious cardio. Am I sick or what?

Have you seen her?
I cannot believe that I let over a month pass by without a post to my blog. It is not that I have not had my fair share of thoughts that I hope to share with the world, it is just so much has happened and the blog priority fell to the bottom of the heap.
What's been going on? Well over the past month, my dear husband has started a new career, I have been busy working on all this new work associated with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act on top of my other duties, and somewhere during work and chasing around a very spirited toddler, I have injured myself and have committed my Internet time to finding the best and quickest cure for ITBS. (I have a team race next week, so if anyone knows of a way to recover quickly, please let me know. I checked and the race doesn't disqualify runners for doping, so if anyone has a good hook up for a steroid injection, let me know).
Really I want to know what's been going on with you guys? Any mommies out there catch last night's premiere of In the Motherhood? I had a friend DVR the episode, so don't give anything away just yet. After we view, I will let you know what I think. Is it worth my time?
Hope you all are living well. Cheers to you!
